INSPIRING KINDNESS

Kindness is contagious. In a world that is overrun by stress, anxiety, and the fear of a viral infection, it is important to remember that we can be there, assist and care for each other. It is one of our fundamental human responsibilities to be good and to be kind. WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

It is simple, by choosing to put people first and operating in a responsible way, VIZI is reflecting it’s values in areas that matter:

  • To show compassion among our clients and employees
  • Create a positive workplace, inspiring and uniting people
  • Improving local communities and make the planet a healthier place to live

In our latest endeavor, VIZI took hands with Doxa Deo to reach out to the community and see where we can make a difference in a variety of creative and impactful ways.

With overflowing excitement, VIZI entered the world of Heneka Haven.

Heneka Haven is a home for abandoned infants and toddlers with special needs. These children are usually abandoned by their biological parents because they are mentally or physically impaired, ranging from blindness, deafness, epilepsy, and several other serious conditions. Some of the infants are HIV positive, adding another dimension to the challenges that they must face daily.

Because of the current Covid-19 restrictions we had to be creative on how we assist the children, their house mother, Cylia and her assistants. This is a team of amazingly strong women who dedicates their lives to these children, to give them a loving home and see to all their special needs. Children will always be children that needs love and above all needs to feel safe.

With our arrival at the house, we were overwhelmed by the loving, caring, and exuberant personas. It is a place of happiness and laughter. Although we could not interact with these amazing kids, we could hear the laughter echo through the house.

In the VIZI-spirit we tackled this task, seeking out what is broken and what can be fixed. What will make a difference in the lives of the children and the wonderful people that needs to run a daily operation which is a challenge in its own. From fixing Kitchen cupboards & appliances to doing some garden work, from clearing blocked drains to getting the swimming pool back to life. Just imagine what a difference it can make when you can introduce a child with mental and physical limitation to the healing powers of water. The pool was not used in years and accumulated quite the fauna and flora over time. With a lot of persistence and multiple efforts we got the pool in a sparkling condition.  We endeavor to keep it this way.

All of this was not only a VIZI initiative, and we could not have done this without the help of our community members.

We would like to thank the following people and companies, who gave without thinking – whether it is their time or specialties, without asking for anything in return:
